Saturday, September 23, 2017
10 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Joshua Jones, Turner Farm Community Garden Manager, will speak to how over-wintering your garden with Cover Crops can supress weeds, add nitrogen to the soil, control erosion and make your garden more productive and healthier for the spring growing season.
This will be a work and learn educational program at the East End Community Garden. Joshua will teach when, why, and how to use cover crops through discussion and a hands-on experience of preparing garden beds and sowing cover crop seed.
The class is FREE and open to the public.
